     If you need a place to stay Super 8 Eveleth is a tremendous choice; float down the rapids of St. Louis River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Ico Campground is a fine place to camp, and you can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Giants Ridge. Fig Lake truly is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Camping is available at Eveleth Veteran's Park, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cloquet River.

   Lake is a location that is reasonably dried up frequently; all through June this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. You'll meet a lot of people from Duluth here, and there are other places here than Fig Lake, for example Central Lakes. All through the days of summer at Fig Lake highs are typically in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 10's with temperatures  
               at Fig Lake dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights.
Not far from Fig Lake, you'll come across Elliott Lake which is a beautiful lake, and a great nearby hotel is Budget Host Virginia.

200 beautiful wooded acres in Northern Minnesota with a swimming beach and fishing pier. A boat landing is on the other end of this 5 mile long lake to easily launch your boat. 40 Camp Sites are available in a pristine wooded setting. This is a city owner campground, with showers, restrooms, and an RV Dump Station. The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume....
