Fan Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, East Bearskin Campground is a great local campground, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Vaseux Portage. Fan Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location.       Here at Fan Lake you can catch a sight of Moose Mountain, and the Great Cherry Portage is a good hiking trail close by. After a long day outdoors Best Western Superior Inn And Suites is a great place to spend a night or two; soar down the rapids of Brule River in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Fan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kimball Lake Campground is a wonderful place for that, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike                  along the Lesser Cherry Portage. During the summertime months highs here at Fan Lake reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's.
