     Lake Emily is a site with many visitors from Mankato-North Mankato, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mount Kato. During the long summer days at Lake Emily temperatures are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while Lake Emily overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Take a side spree to Dog Creek, and Lake Emily is a splendid place to visit  
   for more than one day, Peaceful Valley Campsites is a splendid place to camp nearby. A normal amount of rain falls here at Lake Emily; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Lake Emily. A good nearby hotel is Americinn - St Peter, Mn, and a charming lake like Lake Emily is a brilliant place to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Goldsmith
 
               Lake near Lake Emily, it's a gorgeous lake; golf can be played at Shoreland Country Club.

Lake Jefferson
I also vacationed at Jefferson as a child but cannot remember name of place where dad took us.  Remember that there were cabins on one side and we also camped on the othere side of the lake.  Also, remember when we were out fishing we passed under a bridge to Lake Henry to catch some of the biggest yellow bellies I've ever seen.  Want to take my kids and grandkids there...Totally agree this has happened on several lakes I have fished, most lakes put a three or four hour recreational regulation on the lakes.  I agree the people have become so self centered, and it is all about them.  They should be spending quality time fishing instead of all this time in high speed on seperate play toy's that is not quality time....
