Lakes? Sure, Moilan Lake is close by, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Eveleth. Elliott Lake is pretty dried up commonly; June is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. Camping is available at Eveleth Veteran's Park, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Fig Lake. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! During the summertime months here at Elliott Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, usually in the 50's. Eveleth Veteran's Park
 | 200 beautiful wooded acres in Northern Minnesota with a swimming beach and fishing pier. The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume.... |
