Throughout the warmest time of the year at Egge Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Egge Lake. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Dry warm beds await you at Maple Grove Motel & Bait Shop, and tremendous hiking is available along the       Powwoun Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Egge Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Baptism River - West Br offers some good whitewater, and don't leave Egge Lake without first going for a hike along the North Shore Snowmobile Trail. A great forest                  next to Egge Lake is Finland State Forest; soar down the rapids of Baptism River in a kayak. A wonderful spot to camp here at Egge Lake is Silver Bay Koa Kampground, and you can go for a hike on the Moosewalk Snowmobile Trail. If you need a spot to stay Whispering Pines Motel is a good choice.
