Do stop at Pine Tree Lake right next door to Echo Lake, it's a striking lake, and a fine nearby hotel is Croixwood. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; if you need a place to stay Best Western       White Bear Country Inn is a brilliant choice. From a precipitation point of view Echo Lake is a quite common site; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Echo Lake. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Echo Lake are in the-10's. While                  you're here at Echo Lake, you could also go to pretty Long Lake, and for you golfers we recommend close by Oneka Ridge Golf Course. So many amusing things to do at Echo Lake, so little time. Stay the night at St Paul East KOA, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Vermilion River.
