Island Lake is a great lake near Echo Lake; if you need a place to stay Americinn - Moose Lake, Mn is a brilliant choice. There's so much to do here at Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Red Fox RV Park and Campground is a tremendous location for that; a good close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Edelweiss Campground is a good place to do that, and getting to Portage River from Echo Lake is painless.

| | Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Kettle River, and a scenic lake like Little Island Lake is a delightful spot to stop by.
