Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a fine location to get some rest; Little Diamond Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area in the vicinity of Dunning Lake has to offer. There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Dunning Lake called the Wasson Lake Trail, and close by you hit upon the Wilson Lake Trail which       is a perfect hiking trail. So much cool stuff to do here in the Mesabi Range, too perfect to be true. Why not camp at Jko Campground since you're here at Dunning Lake, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Skeeter Lake Trail System. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Sal's Campground is a splendid place to camp; do check out Big Diamond Lake, it's a lovely lake. Dunning Lake gets a typical amount of rain; July                  is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the Mesabi Range. After a long day outdoors Budget Host Inn Grand Rapids is a perfect place to spend a night or two; right next door to Dunning Lake you come across a golf course called Eagle Ridge Golf Course. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Dunning Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
