There is a fine hiking trail right next door to Driller Lake called the Kelly Trail, and Greenwood Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Dry warm beds await you at Grand Superior Lodge, and Driller Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Rocky Shores Campground is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Driller Lake you can take a hike       along the North Shore Snowmobile Trail, and if you need a place to stay Americinn - Two Harbors, Mn is a brilliant choice. While you're here at Driller Lake, you could also stop at beautiful Phantom Lake; one of the governing characteristics of the surroundings of Driller Lake is Peabody Hill. The annual rain here at Driller Lake is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Summer brings                  highs in the 70's to Driller Lake. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's while Driller Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do in the vicinity of Driller Lake. A wonderful place to camp here at Driller Lake is McDougal Lakes Campground; nearby you hit upon the Seven Beaver Snowmobile Trail which is a perfect hiking trail.
