If you like lakes and you're in this part of Minnesota you can check out Dinham Lake. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Giants Ridge. Lakes are good; Lake Albert is a lake that's right next door to Dinham Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Eveleth Super 8 Motel, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend St. Louis River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Dinham Lake. | | down to the 50's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Dinham Lake descend into the-10's. Here at Dinham Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Duluth; why not camp at Ico Campground since you're here at Dinham Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Berg Lake is a lake close at hand. Man, is there a load of fun things to do near Dinham Lake. Gilbert Sherwood Forest is a good local campground; there's whitewater on Cloquet River for all you adrenaline kick people. Dinham Lake
gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month.

 | 17 miles away The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume.... |
