This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Fork River. If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be. Hibbing Taconite Starter Dam One is not far at all from Day Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Day Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Beach Resort RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Near Day Lake you

| | discover the Stingy Lake Trail which is a good hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Day Lake that you need to camp here for a while, C C Campground 717 is a great place for that.
Sturgeon River is a nice whitewater spot in close proximity to Day Lake; there are delightful spots to look at along the Link Lake Trail. The Mesabi Range scenery is always beautiful. An average amount of rain falls at Day Lake; most of the rain falls through June; February | |

The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Day Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 10's, and winter
nights come with lows in the-10's to Day Lake. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Mesabi Range. Going for a hike on the Snake Trail is always a tremendous adventure; let's not
forget Deer Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while here. If you need a site to stay Hibbing Park Hotel is a good choice, and if you're here, you could also go to pretty Kleffman Lake.
And if that's not enough there's
a lot more amusing stuff to do in the Mesabi Range. Super 8 Hibbing is a glorious site to get some rest, and Hibbing Taconite Tailings Basin is a nearby lake that you could stop at.

There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
When you're not in or on the water you can play volleyball, badminton, ''fun'' frisbee golf, basketball, pitch horseshoes or play bocce ball. All recreational equipment can be checked out at no charge. Our game room is always busy with kids playing pinball or pool. At our convenience store you'll be able to pick up basic groceries, ice cream, pizzas, snacks, ice, fishing licenses, tackle, and night crawlers. We also carry unleaded gas and motor oil.
