Dark Lake is typically a relatively dried up location; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's good hiking along the Elmwood Island Trail System, and glorious water scenery is available at Dark and Little Lakes Project Dam Clear       near Dark Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dark Lake; Plum Creek Trail is a glorious local trail; Dark Lake is not the only location close by, Little Lake is a close by lake. Summer at Dark Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the nighttime is rather cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Dark Lake are in the-10's. Camping at Middle                  Pigeon River Campground is always a great experience, as expected you could also explore Clear Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Dark Lake, too tremendous to be true.
