Cutaway Lake is one of the lakes here in the Mesabi Range. An average amount of rain falls at Cutaway Lake; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is generally the driest month. You could also go to Spring Lake if you're here at Cutaway Lake; it's nearby, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Wilson Lake Trail. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the       Mesabi Range. A great place to camp here at Cutaway Lake is North Star Campground. Cutaway Lake is not the only site nearby, Hendrichs Lake is a nearby lake, also Little Wolf Lake Wildlife Impondment Dam is worth stopping at if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a wonderful place to get some rest, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Skeeter Lake Trail System. Just can't get enough of Cutaway Lake.                  Cutaway Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Prairie Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground, and a great forest close by is Marcell Experimental Forest. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Mesabi Range. Summertime highs at Cutaway Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
