Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a good spot to get some rest, and if you came to camp Cascade River Campground is a splendid location to do that. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Crow Lake has to offer. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Height of Land Portage, and unsurprisingly, this is a pleasant vicinity for folks who like lakes, Eagle Lake is a lake close at hand. and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Cascade River. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Crow Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily
in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Crow Lake drop into the-10's. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Fishhook Lake; a good place for whitewater
paddling is Cascade River. Crow Lake is right by the South Lake Portage, and taking a little visit to close by Brule Bay is a pleasant idea.

 | Echo is a nice lake to stop and drop a line when in the Schroeder tofte area. It is just up the road from Nine mile lake campground and has an easy to catch supply of small trout. Two Island Lake Campground
 | 10 miles away I have only been there in the winter waiting for the mushers to come through (for the Beargease Marathon), it is where I want my ashes to be. I missed one year of the Beargrease race (1998) but the next year I was there at Two Island it was a full moon and it was snowing at the same time, could see down the trail like it was daylight but it was snowing....that was my sign...like I didn't fall in love with it before...this is a beautiful place, small camground but nice in the summer. jkf... |
