This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Cross Bay Lake is Poplar River. Summertime highs at Cross Bay Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 10's, and after the sun is down       during the winter temperatures at Cross Bay Lake fall into the-10's. There's so much to do here at Cross Bay Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Baker Lake Campground is a splendid spot for that, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Pine Portage. Cross Bay Lake gets a common amount of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest. You can run the rapids of Temperance River in the neighborhood                  of Cross Bay Lake, and skiing at Lutsen is one of those things you just should do. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Gunflint Pines, and dry warm beds await you at Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains. If you need a place to stay Caribou Highlands Lodge is a nice choice, and Cross Bay Lake is not the only place close by, Fool Lake is a close by lake. So much cool stuff next to Cross Bay Lake, clearly impressive.
