Caribou Highlands Lodge is a fine site to get some rest, and some of the water close by flows, like Willow Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Lutsen is a good local ski area, and if you come at the right time of year, Poplar River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Pine Portage. Crescent Lake is right by the Honeymoon Trail, and Crescent Lake Campground       is a splendid campground nearby. You definitely must go for Crescent Lake. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Bouder Lake near Crescent Lake; you can stay the night at Baker Lake Campground. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Temperance River, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a delightful place to spend a night or two. All through the summertime months highs here at Crescent Lake reach the 70's. Summer night lows plunge                  down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's while Crescent Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. The amount of rain that falls at Crescent Lake is close to the national average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
