From a rain point of view Crane Lake is a rather common place; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to nearby East Bay is very relaxing. There's so much to do here at Crane Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beddow's Campground is a nice location for that. Summertime highs at Crane Lake generally tend to be in the 70's with       nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's while the cold winter nights at Crane Lake are in the-20's. Dry warm beds await you at Elbow Lake Lodge, and if you've had enough of Crane Lake, Mukooda Lake is close by. If you came to camp Waters Edge RV Park is a great place to do that, and Camp Forty Creek is close to Crane Lake and is always a pleasure to pop by. Near Crane Lake you hit upon the Beatty Portage which is a great hiking                  trail; paddling on Vermilion River is so much fun. You absolutely should fancy Crane Lake.
