This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Budget Host Inn Grand Rapids is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and a brilliant place to camp here at Crane Lake is North Star Campground. The Mesabi Range scenery is always beautiful. Crane Lake gets a typical amount of rain; most of the rain falls during July while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There is a glorious hiking trail in       the neighborhood of Crane Lake called the Skeeter Lake Trail System. The Suomi Hills Trail System is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Crane Lake, and a pleasant close by hotel is Wendigo Lodge Golf Conference. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Mesabi Range. Camping is available at Prairie Lake Campground, and if you've had enough of Crane Lake, Amen Lake is close by. High temperatures at Crane Lake during the long summer                  days are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
