A visit to Cranberry Lake is always a good idea. Cranberry Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Pickerel Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and if you came for an overnight stay Birch Knoll Campground is a tremendous site to camp. If you get bored of Cranberry Lake, you could also take a look at close by Mud Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, St. Louis

| | River offers some great whitewater. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Cranberry Lake. Camping is available at Gafvert Campground. During the summertime months at Cranberry Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Snowmobile Trail offers hiking at its best, and a glorious close by hotel is Americinn - Carlton, Mn. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Cloquet is a great site to spend a night or two, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Spirit Mountain.
