Sure, Crow Wing Lake is just a very short distance away. Be careful coming to Coon Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Going for a hike on the Howard Lake Trail is always a great adventure. From a precipitation point of view Coon Lake is a rather typical place; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the       driest month. There is a splendid hiking trail near Coon Lake called the Snoway 1. There's so much to do here at Coon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Nature Land Campground is a glorious place for that.
