The amount of rainfall that falls at Continental Lake is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Ridgepole Lake is a nearby lake that you could       visit; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Ely Minnesota is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. And that's not all you can do here at Continental Lake. The Kelly Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Continental Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Continental Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime                  at Continental Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. Do stop by Lake Culkin near Continental Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Continental Lake has to offer, you can camp at Birch Lake Campground.
