Hyland Ski is a good local ski area; a visit to Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is recommended. Here at Lake Como you'll probably meet some folks from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington; while you're here, you could also take a look at pretty Bennett Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Buck Hill is near Lake Como. There's so much to do here at Lake Como that you need to camp here for a while, Northernaire Motel is a splendid place for that.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Fort Snelling Golf Course, and McCarrons Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. After a long day outdoors Best Western Bandana Square is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Kelly Inn is a great choice. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Como has to offer, you can camp at J Robinson Intensive Camps. The warmest time of the year at Lake Como arrives with high temperatures in the
80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake Como.
