If you came for an overnight stay Goose Island Campgrounds is a tremendous place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard La Crosse Downtown/Mississippi Riverfront. Elgar Lake is a pleasant lake in close proximity to Commodore Lake, and this is a popular location for folks from La Crosse. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! | | Commodore Lake, and camping is available at Red Barn Resort and Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Yellow River State Forest Trail is always a magnificent adventure; popping by Effigy Mounds National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm sites, why not go to Pond Three 0 in close proximity to Commodore Lake, and you can take a little trip to Genoa Fish Hatchery | |

Pond One Dam while you're here at Commodore Lake. Throughout the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Commodore Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's
while Commodore Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. From a precipitation point of view Commodore Lake is a reasonably typical place; all through June this area sees the most rain, and January
is when it's the driest. Mount La Crosse is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and taking a little trip to close by Heck Point is a perfect idea. If you're here at Commodore Lake, you could go to Minnesota Slough, and GrandStay Residential Suites La Crosse is a brilliant place to get some rest.
