Coleen Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Whispering Bay Resort is a great site to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY. During the warm months at Coleen Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with       highs in the 20's, and night lows at Coleen Lake during the wintertime typically plunge into the 0's. St. Croix River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and Americas Best Value Inn is a fine site to get some rest. From a precipitation point of view Coleen Lake is a reasonably typical location; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is when it's the driest. So many enjoyable things to do at Coleen Lake, so little time. For you golfers                  we recommend close by Chisago Lakes Golf Course. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Coleen Lake has to offer, you can camp at Schillberg's Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is delightful here at Coleen Lake, you can go for a hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. Paddling on Apple River is so much fun, and a visit to Saint Croix National Scenic River is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful.
