Camping is available at Savanna Portage State Park, and there's great hiking along the Headboom Logging Trail. During the warmest time of the year here at Cole Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the       50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Cole Lake plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Section One Lake, and the Herubin Truck Trail offers hiking at its best. An average amount of rain falls at Cole Lake; through June this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Cole Lake is right by the Giese Truck Trail, and camping at C J's                  Corral is always a good experience. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Cole Lake.
