That right there is a load already, but it carries on; Clove Lake has it all. Baker Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. From a precipitation point of view Clove Lake is a pretty typical site; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. A short spree to Little Rock Falls is always worthwhile, and going for a hike on the Gneiss Lake Portage is       always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. You must have a look at Granite Bay when you're here at Clove Lake; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Pine Portage. There is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of Clove Lake called the Granite River Portage, and why not camp at Gunflint Pines if you're here at Clove Lake. The slopes of Lutsen are so inviting noone can resist, and let's not forget Larch Creek which is a stream that you may                  encounter during your stay. All through the summertime months at Clove Lake highs are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
