Hiking along the Old Pines Trail is wonderful fun. High temperatures at Lake of the Clouds all through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in       the 10's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake of the Clouds plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a good spot to get some rest, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Gneiss Trail. Lake of the Clouds is a good spot of common rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February.
