Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Grand Marais, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Cascade River. Ball Club Creek is a good site to take a look at, and not far from Cleaver Lake you'll locate Ozada Lake which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. so much to do here at Cleaver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cascade River Campground is a pleasant place for that; there are other locations here than Cleaver Lake, for example Arena Lake. From a precipitation point
of view Cleaver Lake is a quite common site; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.

Two Island Lake Campground
 | I have only been there in the winter waiting for the mushers to come through (for the Beargease Marathon), it is where I want my ashes to be. I missed one year of the Beargrease race (1998) but the next year I was there at Two Island it was a full moon and it was snowing at the same time, could see down the trail like it was daylight but it was snowing....that was my sign...like I didn't fall in love with it before...this is a beautiful place, small camground but nice in the summer. jkf... |
