Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chub Lake; Mud Lake Trail System is a splendid local trail. The Johnson Lake Trail System offers hiking at its best, and you can stay the night at Six Mile Campground. Chub Lake is right by the South Highbanks Trail System, and Chub Lake is a site with many visitors from Brainerd. While you're here at Chub Lake, you could also stop by delightful       Bear Brook Impoundment, and not far from Chub Lake you obtain some splendid water scenery at Six Mile Creek Impoundment Dam. High temperatures at Chub Lake during the summertime are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and overnight lows at Chub Lake during the winter generally sink into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Six Mile Impoundment in the neighborhood of Chub Lake, it's                  a striking lake.
