    If you are in Cook county it's always a good idea to stop by Christine Lake. Hit the slopes at Lutsen around here, and there's whitewater on Temperance River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Tofte, Mn; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Pengar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Caribou Highlands Lodge is a delightful place to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Strobus Lake is nearby.
 
   Throughout the long summer days highs here at Christine Lake reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's while Christine Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Christine Lake has it all. Take a little visit to Barker Creek if you're here at Christine Lake, and going for a hike along the Rib Lake Trail will let you  
               absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. If you came to camp Crescent Lake Campground is a pleasant site to do that, and do take a hike on the Honeymoon Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Poplar River. There's so much to do here at Christine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Poplar River Campground is a tremendous site for that; hiking along the North Shore State Trail is great fun. From a precipitation point of view Christine Lake is a rather typical location; the month with most of the rain is August; February on the other hand is the driest.
