Take a side trip to Cherokee Creek, and Caribou Highlands Lodge is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Baker Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground, and nearby you find the Granite River Portage which is a wonderful hiking trail. Hit the slopes at Lutsen close at hand, and the Pine Portage is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. Just can't get enough of Cherokee Lake. Cherokee Lake is not the only site nearby, Snub Lake is a nearby lake, and a nice spot

Cherokee Lake is a good place of typical rain; through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Poplar River is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to Cherokee Lake; if you've had enough of Cherokee Lake, Sitka Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a splendid choice.

day at Cherokee Lake you can take a hike along the Rib Lake Trail, and Gunflint Pines is a perfect campground nearby. Summertime at Cherokee Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs
all through the wintertime are in the 10's with temperatures at Cherokee Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
