If the weather is tremendous here at Chase Lake, you can go for a hike along the Long Portage; you can stay the night at Grand Marais Recreation Area. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Chase Lake has it all. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Brule River, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Timber Creek. A common amount of rain falls       here at Chase Lake; during August this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Best Western Superior Inn & Suites is a good place to get some rest, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Vaseux Portage. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Devil Track River offers some great whitewater; while you're here you can take a hike along the Lesser Cherry Portage. This lake is so wonderful.                  While you're here at Chase Lake, you could also have a look at beautiful Merganser Lake, and Chase Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Kimball Lake Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Through the summertime months at Chase Lake highs are typically in the 70's; the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 50's.
