Chain Lakes is always a pleasure to visit. If you need a site to stay Lodge at Crooked Lake is a good choice; some of the water close by flows, like East Fork Crooked Creek. During the warmest time of the year at Chain Lakes highs are usually in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 10's with temperatures at Chain Lakes dipping down into the-10's all through

| | winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chain Lakes; Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail is a pleasant local trail; camping is available at Riverview Campground. Lakes are great; Lake Olive is a lake that's close to Chain Lakes; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Lower Tamarack River. Rock Spring Campground while you're here at Chain Lakes. An average amount of precipitation falls at Chain Lakes; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
But wait, there's more to do close to Chain Lakes. A great close by hotel is Best Western Northwoods Lodge, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail.
