Very beautiful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Giants Ridge; a great close by hotel is Eveleth Super 8 Motel. If you came to camp Sherwood Forest Campground is a good spot to do that, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Taconite Trail. Summer at Cedar Island Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The       wintertime comes with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Cedar Island Lake. At Cedar Island Lake you always meet someone from Duluth, and for you golfers we recommend close by Eshquaguma Country Club. So much cool stuff to do at Cedar Island Lake, so little time. Going for a hike on the Canfield Portage is always a fine adventure.
