     Lakes are such peaceful places, why not have a look at Ray Lake near Cavity Lake, and if you need a location to stay Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a perfect choice. There's good hiking along the Kekekabic Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Kawishiwi Lake Campground is a wonderful spot to camp. Good hiking is available along the Gneiss Trail, and a scenic lake like Tern Lake is a fine place to check out. Cavity Lake gets a typical amount  
   of annual rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February.
This lake is so wonderful. The Maraboeuf Lake Portage offers hiking at its best; camping is available at Sawbill Campground. Through the summer months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Cavity Lake while night lows are generally in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 10's with temperatures at Cavity Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Cavity Lake.
