Lakes? Sure, Chippewa River Reservoir is in close proximity. Around Carlton Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is December. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Natural Resources Department is always a good experience, also Don Halverson Farm Pond Dam is worth a visit since you're here.       Summer brings highs in the 80's to Carlton Lake while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Carlton Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. Near Carlton Lake you locate a golf course called Montevideo Country Club; a great nearby hotel is Crossings by GrandStay Inn and Suites. Carlton Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Prairie View RV Park and Campground                  is a tremendous local campground, and Chippewa River is right next door to Carlton Lake and is always a diversion to stop at. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Carlton Lake has it all.
