There are some good whitewater spots on Temperance River; going for a hike along the Pine Portage will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Lutsen is just what you need. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Caper Lake. Sawbill Campground is a perfect local campground, and Caper Lake is right       by the Gneiss Trail. Baker Lake Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and not far from Caper Lake you'll hit upon Afton Lake which is a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Temperance River, and hiking along the Rib Lake Trail is pleasant fun. An average amount of rainfall falls at Caper Lake; through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
