The snow is fine at Giants Ridge, and if you came for an overnight stay Sioux River Campground is a good spot to camp. Canthook Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of Canthook Lake. The       Echo Trail is a magnificent hiking trail next to Canthook Lake. Going for a hike on the Stuart Portage is always a perfect adventure; nearby you hit upon the Canfield Portage which is a brilliant hiking trail. At Canthook Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and the night is quite colder of course, typically in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and nighttime lows in the-20's for Canthook Lake. This lake                  is so wonderful.
