At Candy Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's; the night is quite cooler of course, usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Candy Lake sink into the-20's. Take a hike on the Holstrum Spur Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Big Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and       you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Wilson Lake Trail. Stay the night at Thistledew Campground, and hiking along the Valley River Trail is brilliant fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Candy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Stony Brook Campground, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a splendid place to spend a night or two.
