From a rain point of view Burr Oak Lake is a rather common site; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. If you came for an overnight stay Kandiyohi County Park 3 is a great spot to camp; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Willmar is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. Olde Mill Inn is a great local campground;       if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Willmar. The warmest time of the year at Burr Oak Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Burr Oak Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a pleasant nearby course is Valley Golf Course, and Elkhorn Lake is a perfect lake nearby.
