Going for a hike on the Stuart Portage is always a good adventure; splendid skiing awaits you at Giants Ridge. Not far from Buck Lake, you'll find Bass Lake which is a stunning lake. There's so much to do here at Buck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sioux River Campground is a glorious place for that. The annual rain here at Buck Lake is about average; of all the months in a year June is the one with       the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Grand Ely Lodge Resort And Conf Ctr is a great location to get some rest, and Buck Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mc Kinley Park Campground is a good local campground. All through the long summer days highs here at Buck Lake get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and night lows                  in the-20's for Buck Lake. Yeah, come here to Buck Lake for a glorious time. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Buck Lake called the Canfield Portage.
