Hiking is a popular thing to do around Buck Lake; Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail is a perfect local trail, and Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a great location to get some rest. All through the summertime highs here at Buck Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's with winter lows in       the-10's overnight here at Buck Lake. That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Buck Lake has it all. If you get bored of Buck Lake, you could also explore close by Kramer Lakes, and you can stay the night at Riverview Campground. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Buck Lake has to offer, you can camp at Paint Rock Spring Campground, and a lake close by is Chain Lakes. Buck Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; June is when                  you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is great on Lower Tamarack River, and the Markville Snowmobile Trail offers hiking at its best. Get wet paddling on St. Croix River; if you need a place to stay Lodge at Crooked Lake is a delightful choice.
