A good close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Pine River; Eagle Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Buck Lake; Goose Lake Trail System is a great local trail, and do stop at Mule Lake, it's a picturesque lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Brainerd here, and don't forget to stop at Hunters       Bay since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Lake Erin Trail, and camping is available at Austin's Swamp. Having a great time at Buck Lake is trouble-free. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold                  days of the winter come with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Buck Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
