     Here at Brokaw Lake you'll probably meet some people from Bemidji, and camping is available at Big Wolf Lake Resort and Campground. At Brokaw Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Brokaw Lake. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn Bemidji is a nice choice; don't leave Brokaw Lake without first going for a hike along  
   the Desoto Trail. Around Brokaw Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Brokaw Creek; camping at Royal Oaks RV Park is always a splendid experience. This lake is so wonderful. Very pretty scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Buena Vista, and there's delightful hiking along the Nicolet Trail.

               stuff right next door to Brokaw Lake will keep you coming back many times. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Bemidji Inn, and there are other sites here than Brokaw Lake, for example Brown Lake. There are great spots to look at along the Eagle Scout Trail. Lakes? Sure, Marsh Lake is in the vicinity.

Wonderful lake with Bald Eagles nesting on the edge of the south lake. A pair of loons nest in the narrows, and 8 pair of Canadian Gesse nest in the wetland on the west side of the upper lake, raising aproximently 30 young each year. The Beavor and Otters are also in heaven on this lake. It has good fishing for Northern, Bass, Blue Gills , and Crappies. It is what is called a coffee water lake being very dark in color, causing the fish to be beautiful....
