There's wonderful hiking along the Kekekabic Trail, and a delightful nearby hotel is Americinn - Tofte, Mn. Not far from Briar Lake, you'll come across Baskatong Lake which is a striking lake, and Kawishiwi Lake Campground is a nice local campground. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Briar Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 10's, and overnight lows at Briar Lake through

| | the winter generally dip into the-10's. Any time is a glorious time at Briar Lake if you go for the outdoors. There's whitewater on Manitou River for all you adrenaline kick people. From a rainfall point of view Briar Lake is a pretty typical place; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture.
