If you need a place to stay Pines Motel is a great choice, and splendid hiking is available along the Goose Lake Trail System. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Acres is a great campground here, and Ridgewood Golf Course & Country Club is a golf course close by. So much enjoyable stuff near Boxell Lake, simply inspiring. Lakes? Sure, Craig Lake is in the neighborhood; Boxell Lake is not far at all from       Brainerd. The yearly rainfall here at Boxell Lake is about average; most of the rain falls through June, and February on the other hand is the driest. At Boxell Lake through the summertime highs are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Boxell Lake.
