This lake is so wonderful. Boss Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Mountain Campground is a fine local campground, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Lake Erin Trail. Summertime highs at Boss Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime       come with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Boss Lake. Camping at Lindsey Lake Campgrounds is always a nice experience; going for a hike on the Deerfield Trail is always a good adventure. What a place this is for outdoors people. Not far from Boss Lake, you'll stumble on Woodchuck Lake which is a striking lake, and Boss Lake is not far at all from Brainerd. There are other sites here than Boss Lake, for example Pleasant Lake;                  if you need a place to stay Americinn - Walker, Mn is a delightful choice.
