Boot Lake is right by the Crooked Lake Trail; not far from Boot Lake you'll find Fairy Lake which is a striking lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Boot Lake while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 10's, and overnight lows at Boot Lake through the winter generally drop into the-10's. If you need a place to stay Budget Host Motel       Ely is a wonderful choice, and camping is available at Gateway North Outfitters. Having a splendid time at Boot Lake is uncomplicated. There are some nice whitewater spots on Stony River. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Stuart Portage, and camping at Canoe Country Outfitters is always a glorious experience.
