This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Gun Lake in the vicinity of Boot Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Stuart Portage. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Stony River, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Ely Minnesota. Why not camp at Gateway North       Outfitters since you're here at Boot Lake; Grand Ely Lodge Resort and Conference Center is a glorious site to get some rest. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great earth it would be. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Boot Lake; Crooked Lake Trail is a great local trail. Boot Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of                  precipitation. Throughout the summertime months here at Boot Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
