Bloom Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Bay Resort is a splendid local campground; the slopes of Trollhaugen are so inviting noone can resist. Through the long summer days highs here at Bloom Lake get into the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs       in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Bloom Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY is a great choice; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Croix River. This lake is so wonderful. Bloom Lake is not the only site close by, Peterson Lake is a close by lake, and Apple River has a perfect whitewater                  paddling spot nearby. Looking for something close to Bloom Lake? Coleen Lake is in the vicinity; dropping by Saint Croix National Scenic River is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Bloom Lake. Wild Mountain is a nice local ski area, and golf can be played at Chisago Lakes Golf Course.
