If you get bored of Blackface Lake, you could also stop at close by Long Lake, and do take a hike on the Headboom Logging Trail. During the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Blackface Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 10's while Blackface Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
